How to use Semi-Solid Nail Glue
Semi-Solid Nail Glue has a gel-like texture that stays where you put it, and it air-dries with no lamp needed. It is the easiest way to apply press-on nails at home.
What you need
- GEL PARTY Semi-Solid Nail Glue
- Press-on nails or soft gel tips
- 180-grit file and alcohol wipes
- Cuticle pusher
Step by step
Prep the natural nail
Push back the cuticles, remove any non-living tissue from the nail plate, then lightly buff away the shine with a 180-grit file. Brush off all dust.
Dehydrate
Wipe each nail with a lint-free pad and alcohol or a nail dehydrator. Do not touch the nail plate after this step; skin oils cause lifting.
Size the nails
Lay out a press-on for every finger before you start.
Apply the glue
Squeeze a small amount of glue into the cuticle half of the press-on, or onto the natural nail.
Press on
Place the press-on at a 45° angle starting at the cuticle and press it down firmly.
Hold
Hold for 20–30 seconds. The glue sets in the air; no lamp needed.
Wait before water
Avoid hot water and heavy use for about an hour for the strongest hold.
Pro tips
- A little glue goes a long way; too much spreads onto the skin.

Avoid
- Do not apply on wet or oily nails.
