How to use Pure White & Jet Black Gel Polish
Pure White and Jet Black are the two essential shades for French tips, nail art and cat eye backgrounds. Thin, even coats give streak-free coverage.
What you need
- GEL PARTY Pure White & Jet Black Gel Polish
- Base coat and top coat
- UV/LED lamp
- Liner brush (for art)
Step by step
Prep the natural nail
Push back the cuticles, remove any non-living tissue from the nail plate, then lightly buff away the shine with a 180-grit file. Brush off all dust.
Dehydrate
Wipe each nail with a lint-free pad and alcohol or a nail dehydrator. Do not touch the nail plate after this step; skin oils cause lifting.
Apply base coat
Apply a thin base coat and cure.
Apply the first color coat
Apply a thin coat of white or black, cap the free edge and cure. Cure in an LED lamp for about 60 seconds or a UV lamp for about 120 seconds. Cure times vary by lamp wattage, so follow your lamp’s guide.
Apply the second coat
Apply a second thin coat for full opacity and cure.
Seal
Finish with top coat and cure.
Pro tips
- For a French smile line, use a thin liner brush with Pure White over a sheer base.
- Jet Black is the ideal background for cat eye and chrome.
- Stir or roll the bottle gently before use; do not shake hard to avoid bubbles.
Avoid
- Avoid thick coats of white; they may cure unevenly.
Removal & aftercare
File away the top coat to break the seal. Wrap each nail in a cotton pad soaked in acetone (or apply a soak-off gel remover) for 10–15 minutes, then gently push the softened gel off with a cuticle pusher. Never peel or pry gel off the natural nail. Finish with cuticle oil.
