How to use Matte Top Coat & Blooming Gel Kit
This kit gives you two looks: velvety matte nails with the No-Wipe Matte Top Coat, and marble, watercolor and floral designs with the clear Blooming Gel.
What you need
- GEL PARTY Matte Top Coat & Blooming Gel
- Base coat and gel colors
- UV/LED lamp
- Detail brush or dotting tool
Step by step
Prepare the base
Prep the nails, apply base coat and your background color, curing after each layer.
For blooming art: apply Blooming Gel
Apply a thin layer of Blooming Gel. Do not cure it.
Drop in color
Dot gel polish onto the wet Blooming Gel with a detail brush. The color spreads into soft, blooming shapes within seconds.
Cure the design
When you like the effect, cure fully.
For a matte finish: apply Matte Top Coat
Apply an even layer of Matte Top Coat over cured color or art and cure. It is no-wipe, so the velvet finish is ready straight from the lamp.
Pro tips
- Use small dots of color: the blooming effect spreads more than you expect.
- Mix matte and glossy: matte top coat on the nail and glossy top coat on the art for contrast.
- Blooming gel works beautifully over white or nude backgrounds.
Avoid
- Do not cure Blooming Gel before adding color.
- Apply matte top coat evenly; thin patches can look shiny.
Removal & aftercare
File away the top coat to break the seal. Wrap each nail in a cotton pad soaked in acetone (or apply a soak-off gel remover) for 10–15 minutes, then gently push the softened gel off with a cuticle pusher. Never peel or pry gel off the natural nail. Finish with cuticle oil.
