How to use Chrome Nail Powder
Chrome powder turns any gel manicure into a mirror, holographic or pearl finish. The key is a cured no-wipe top coat with no sticky layer.
What you need
- GEL PARTY Chrome Nail Powder
- No-wipe top coat
- Base coat and gel color
- Sponge applicators (included)
- UV/LED lamp
- Fluffy brush
Step by step
Prepare the color
Apply base coat and color (black for a strong mirror, white or nude for pearl), curing each layer.
Apply no-wipe top coat
Apply no-wipe top coat and cure. Do not wipe; the surface should be smooth and glossy.
Rub in the chrome
Pick up a little powder with the sponge applicator and rub it firmly over the whole nail until a mirror finish appears.
Remove excess
Brush away loose powder with a fluffy brush and clean the skin around the nail.
Seal the edges and top
Cap the free edge with top coat first, then apply a full layer of top coat and cure.
Pro tips
- Apply chrome while the nail is still warm from the lamp for a brighter finish.
- Use one sponge per color to keep shades clean.
- Close jars right after use so powder does not spill.
Avoid
- Do not apply chrome on a sticky layer; the finish will look dull.
- Do not skip sealing the free edge; chrome can chip there first.
Removal & aftercare
File away the top coat to break the seal. Wrap each nail in a cotton pad soaked in acetone (or apply a soak-off gel remover) for 10–15 minutes, then gently push the softened gel off with a cuticle pusher. Never peel or pry gel off the natural nail. Finish with cuticle oil.
