About Builder Gel
GEL PARTY Builder Gel is a self-leveling hard gel that adds structure to natural nails and builds durable extensions on tips or forms. It flows into a smooth apex on its own, so you spend less time filing.
Choose a sheer camouflage pink for a clean look, a milky white for French sets, or Crystal Clear to layer over any color.

How to use Builder Gel
Builder gel gives natural nails structure and builds durable extensions. A smooth, well-placed apex is the secret to a set that does not crack or lift. Follow these steps for a strong, natural-looking overlay or extension.
What you need
- GEL PARTY Builder Gel 60 mL
- Base coat and no-wipe top coat
- UV/LED lamp
- Builder brush (oval or square)
- Dual forms or soft gel tips for extensions
- 100/180 file and buffer
- Lint-free wipes and alcohol
Step by step
Prep the natural nail
Push back the cuticles, remove any non-living tissue from the nail plate, then lightly buff away the shine with a 180-grit file. Brush off all dust.
Dehydrate
Wipe each nail with a lint-free pad and alcohol or a nail dehydrator. Do not touch the nail plate after this step; skin oils cause lifting.
Apply a thin base layer
Scrub a very thin layer of base coat (or a thin slip layer of builder gel) into the nail and cure. This is the anchor for everything that follows.
Pick up a bead of builder
Take a small bead of builder gel with your brush. Twist the brush as you lift it out of the jar so the gel does not string.
Float the gel and build the apex
Place the bead in the center of the nail and float it toward the sidewalls and free edge without touching the skin. Keep the apex (highest point) about one-third of the way down from the cuticle.
Let it self-level
Turn the hand upside down for 5–10 seconds so gravity pulls the gel into a smooth curve, then check the side profile.
Cure
Flash-cure each nail for 10 seconds to lock the shape, then do a full cure. Cure in an LED lamp for about 60 seconds or a UV lamp for about 120 seconds. Cure times vary by lamp wattage, so follow your lamp’s guide.
File, refine and finish
Wipe any sticky layer, shape the free edge and refine the surface with a 100/180 file. Remove dust, apply color if you like, then seal with a no-wipe top coat and cure.
Pro tips
- Work one or two nails at a time so the gel does not flow into the cuticles.
- Use thin layers on the free edge and more product at the apex for strength.
- For extensions, apply the builder over a soft gel tip or onto a dual form, then cure before shaping.
- Choose Crystal Clear for encapsulated art, cover shades to hide the nail bed and milky shades for French sets.
Avoid
- Do not flood the cuticle or sidewalls; this is the main cause of lifting.
- Do not skip the dehydrating step.
- Avoid thick layers in one go; build in two thin layers if needed.
Removal & aftercare
File the product down with a 100/180 file or an e-file, leaving a thin layer over the natural nail. Remaining product can be soaked off or left as a base for the next set. Finish with cuticle oil.
Questions about Builder Gel
Can I use it on natural nails?
Yes. Apply a thin layer over prepped natural nails to strengthen them, or build an apex for extra durability.
Do I need a base coat?
Use a dehydrator and a bonder or base coat first for the best adhesion.
How long should I cure?
Cure times depend on your lamp’s power. Follow the label and your lamp’s instructions; thicker layers may need longer.
How do I remove it?
File off the top layer, then soak off with gel remover.
