How to use Nail Dehydrator & Primer Kit
The dehydrator and primer work as a two-step prep system for gel, acrylic and extension services. Both air-dry, so no lamp is needed. They help gel, poly gel and acrylic grip the nail plate for longer wear.
What you need
- GEL PARTY Nail Dehydrator
- GEL PARTY Nail Primer
- 180-grit file
- Lint-free wipes
Step by step
Prep the natural nail
Push back the cuticles, remove any non-living tissue from the nail plate, then lightly buff away the shine with a 180-grit file. Brush off all dust.
Apply the dehydrator
Brush a thin coat over the entire nail plate and let it air-dry for a few seconds.
Apply the primer
Apply a small amount of primer to the nail plate only. Let it air-dry until the surface looks slightly tacky. No lamp is needed.
Continue with your service
Apply base coat, builder gel, poly gel, acrylic or soft gel tips right away.
Pro tips
- Wipe excess liquid off the brush on the bottle neck before applying.
- One thin coat of each product is enough for most clients.
- Close bottles tightly after use.
Avoid
- Keep the primer off the skin and cuticles.
- Do not apply additional coats of primer to “boost” it; excess can cause product to bubble.
Removal & aftercare
Nothing to remove separately. It comes off with the products applied on top.
