How to use Nail Pigment Powder
Nail pigment powders create ombre fades, gradients and bold color blocks. Press the pigment onto an uncured layer of gel, then seal.
What you need
- GEL PARTY Nail Pigment Palette
- Base coat, gel color and top coat
- Sponge applicators or ombre sponge grabber
- UV/LED lamp
- Fluffy brush
Step by step
Prepare the nail
Apply base coat and a background color. Cure.
Apply a thin layer of gel
Apply a thin layer of top coat or clear gel and do not cure it.
Press in the pigment
Pick up a small amount of pigment with a sponge and dab it onto the wet gel. Blend two shades where they meet for a smooth ombre.
Cure
Cure fully, then brush away any loose powder.
Seal
Apply top coat, cap the free edge and cure.
Pro tips
- Build color slowly: two light layers look smoother than one heavy layer.

- Neon pigments look brightest over white.
Avoid
- Do not use too much powder at once.
- Do not skip the sealing top coat.
Removal & aftercare
File away the top coat to break the seal. Wrap each nail in a cotton pad soaked in acetone (or apply a soak-off gel remover) for 10–15 minutes, then gently push the softened gel off with a cuticle pusher. Never peel or pry gel off the natural nail. Finish with cuticle oil.
