How to use Rhinestone Glue Gel
Rhinestone Glue Gel is a thick, clear gel adhesive for gems, pearls, charms and 3D decorations. Once cured, decorations stay securely in place.
What you need
- GEL PARTY Rhinestone Glue Gel
- Rhinestones, charms or pearls
- Wax pick-up pencil or tweezers
- UV/LED lamp
- Top coat
Step by step
Finish the base manicure
Apply your gel color and top coat. Cure.
Apply the glue
Squeeze a small dot of glue where each decoration will go. For large charms, apply a little more.
Place the decoration
Pick up the gem with a wax pencil and press it gently into the glue.
Secure the edges
Use a detail brush to draw a thin line of glue around the base of the decoration, without covering the top of the stone.
Cure
Cure in an LED lamp for about 60 seconds or a UV lamp for about 120 seconds. Cure times vary by lamp wattage, so follow your lamp’s guide. For large charms, cure from several angles.
Pro tips
- Keep the glue off the faces of crystals to preserve their sparkle.
- Use more glue for heavy 3D charms and cure a little longer.
Avoid
- Do not cover decorations with thick top coat; it dulls the shine.
Removal & aftercare
Soak off with acetone or gently file around the decoration, then lift it off.
